Umbria (Umbria)
8,456 km ², 826,000 inhabitants, capital of Perugia, 2 provinces: Perugia and Terni. Umbria, the green heart of Italy ", is very different than neighbouring Tuscany. The Tiber runs through Umbria from north to south, the river is more powerful in its course and is in Otricoli in the south of the region only 60 km away from Rome. In the west of Perugia is Lake Trasimeno, one of the largest lakes in Italy, although with up to 8 meters in depth, it is still shallower than the great lakes of volcanic origin near Lazio. The beautiful towns such as Assisi, Spello, Foligno and Spoleto are part of the World Heritage Site.
